The Ubuntu Global Jam is an incredible opportunity for the Ubuntu community to unite together around the weekend of 6-th 9th September 2012 to work together to improve Ubuntu.
Everyone is able to contribute to the Jam, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to get involved. Curious about how to make a real difference to Ubuntu? This is a great chance to make that difference.
The Ubuntu Global Jam incorporates events that have been organized over the world to get Ubuntu contributors and fans together to have a great time and improve Ubuntu. Each event has one or more of our themes:
Bugs – finding, triaging and fixing bugs.
Testing – testing the new release and reporting your feedback.
Upgrade -oneiric→precise and lucid→precise reporting your upgrade experience.
Documentation – writing documentation about how to use Ubuntu and how to join the community.
Translations – translating Ubuntu and helping to make it available in everyone’s local language.
Packaging – work on Ubuntu packages and improve them.
Other – other types of contribution such as marketing, packaging, advocacy etc.

LoCos should not feel required to support all themes, but the Global Jam can be used as an opportunity to introduce members to different aspects of the community

Todo el mundo es capaz de contribuir al Ubuntu Global Jam, y todos son bienvenidos y alentados a participar. Curioso acerca de cómo hacer una diferencia real en Ubuntu? Esta es una gran oportunidad para hacer esa diferencia. El Ubuntu Global Jam incorpora los eventos que se han organizado alrededor del mundo para conseguir los contribuyentes Ubuntu y aficionados juntos para pasar un buen rato y mejorar Ubuntu. Cada evento tiene una o más de nuestros temas: Bugs – encontrar, problemas y corregir errores. Pruebas – probando la nueva versión y la divulgación de su información. Actualizarciones→ → precisa y lúcida información más precisa de su experiencia de actualización. Documentación – Documentación por escrito acerca de cómo utilizar Ubuntu y cómo unirse a la comunidad. Traducciones – Traducción de Ubuntu y ayudar para que esté disponible en el idioma local de cada uno. Embalaje – trabajo en los paquetes de Ubuntu y mejorarlos. Otros – otros tipos de contribuciones tales como el marketing, etc envases de promoción, si usted tiene alguna pregunta acerca de cómo organizar un atasco Mundial para su equipo, no dude en preguntar sobre la AskUbuntu. LoCos no deben sentirse obligados a apoyar a todos los temas, pero el atasco global puede ser utilizado como una oportunidad para presentar a los miembros de los diferentes aspectos de la comunidad.
